    Soil to DWC grow

Alright so i got a couple of harvests under my belt and I thought I might do some reading and give Hydro a try.

I used to grow at a friends house because he had a place cleared out in the attic and at the time my parents werent cool with it. Well Im dissapointed to say that my friend has a reoccuring problem with smoking Oxy and hes a god damn junkie. All he does is smoke pills, sleep, and take his share when harvest time is there.

So with saying all of that, I grabbed 3 of my best strains, made a DIY DWC, and bolted with my lights.

    Soil to DWC grow

Alright so I have 4 plants total. 3 different strains in the DWC and one very special Purple Plant that keep in soil(just to make sure she survives, shes my mother for my outdoor crop) I have 6 5" airstones with 2 under each pot. My pH is very stable and it is usually around 6-6.2. Some of the leaves look a little shitty because I straight washed the dirt off of the roots and put them directly into the hydro. It stressed the shit out of them but they came through and now Im starting to see good growth.

I have a 250 watt Mh/hps that I am currently using(Mh as of right now), but i also have a big t5 fixture that im going to use during flower for the extra blue light. Temperatures stable during night and day(dont know exact temps but It is very mild) and I have a fan in my closet cirulating the air.

Being a newbie at the hydro i have a slight Over dosage on the nutes recently and you can see that in some of the leaves. Hydro is soooooo much more complicated than soil.

One of the pics is of my mother purple in soil. If you wanna stick around until flower ill post pics, it is a very special purple strain. Sometimes when you germinate bag seeds you get lucky i guess.

The last pic is of the Guard dog of the grow. Who am i kidding the only danger your in is being licked to death!

Bring your PH down to 5.8 for hydro.

Looking good for having to move things. Hydro is and can be simple. You'll get the hang of it.

    Hope it's a good harvest.

Was wondering how they would react to the shock of the crossover...Glad they came through alright. I'd like to see pics once harvest rolls around in like 8 months, plus you gotta think of future generations not having a chance to see your buds lol!

keep in mind that This is 2 and a half weeks after transplanting. Trust me they looked like real shit the first week. haha The plant in soil was actually my backup plan just incase the hydro transplant didnt go smoothly. Im just gunna keep her under my t5's when I flower the other girls and keep her as a mom. Shes gunna get LST'd too.

The hardest part for me was getting the nutrients at the right levels. At first it was that the nutes were too high and shit was getting burned pretty bad. Then I had some brown "algae" i was freaing out about. Then I noticed a very big similarity in the color of the big bloom and the color of my roots. Im almost positive that its the big bloom staining my roots so im not too worried.

Im debating whether I should top all of the branches or find a way to LST them. This is a closet and i have to make sure I watch my height.

Alright so the first one is of the roots obviously. You can see how they are kinda brown. Ive seen root rot before and Im pretty damn sure that isnt it.

The next pic is of the room. I leave the door open most of the time with a fan blowing air out. Growth has realllllly started to pic up.

I want to transfer to five gallon buckets because I feel that things are getting a little crowded. I plan on topping every 4th node on every growing tip. With another month of vegging I will have some god damn bushes!

Also I got another question for some of you. I recently bought some DARK Energy from the hydro store. The lady there talked it up pretty good(she seems to know her shit pretty well ) so I bought a 20$ bottle. It smells like shit and I am being kind of cautious when using it because I cant find much information on it. Has anyone had any experiences with it?

alright so ive been lowering my ph and keeping it around 5.7-5.9. Since doing that ive noticed an increase in growth. Who woulda knew that a couple of ph points meant that much difference!

I need to invest in a good ph pen. It will give me more accurate readings, because right now Im stuck with the liquid ph test and i have to test 2-3 times just to make sure im getting an accurate reading. Its a pain.

alrighty here so its been a week and all I can say is WOW. The roots have been becoming huge masses and the plants are growing about an inch per day.

I transfered into five gallon buckets so i could space them out more and have a little more control over the nutrients each plant recieves.

If you look at the picture of the roots from this week and last week(same plant), youll notice a huge increase.

I plan to flower in a week as soon as i get paid. Im gunna get an axial fan with some ducting for ventilation because right now if it a little hot in their i open the door. I come from a family of drywall tapers and electricians so my dad's gunna cut holes and install intake and outake fans in my closet. My closet will then be more equipped to grow pot then to store clothing.

Im also gunna get some botincare sweet and cal mag+.

The other pics is of my mother purple in soil. She is my favorite girl.

If you see the pics of the of some recently finished of my purple plant. It smells very sweet and at week 2 of flower ALL of the buds turn a dark purple. It has a fruity taste and smell when growing but after you cut her down its more of a sweat skunky smell.

all of the strains i grow were origanally bagseed that all bred with each other druing my first grow. With all of the mixing of the strains i grew out the seeds and found this crazy purple stuff. What the hell should i name it?

I'd call it some pretty damn good bagseed.

There are soo many purps. I would call it Blue Blood. Kind of a royalty thing.
    Awsome bud.
