Eugenol is soluble in alcohol and can be isolated from cloves.
eugenol + OH- -------> (2-methoxyphenol)-C=C-CH3 + (CH3CO)2O -------->

By the way natural junglist 'Datura' is very poisonous as is lye. The alkaliod content of the plant can very greatly from plant to plant. Brugmansias can also cross breed very easily and are very unpredicable in the potency of them. In most practices of native american tribes Brugmanias are used externally.

The Black Henbane is another hyoscyamine, hyoscine, and atropine bearing plant. It mention was more for folkloric significance, and ingestion almost always leads to something bad "Algo Mal". Although it has narcotic properties Ingestion of datura would most likely lead to injury either from the poisoning or the unpredictable state it could induce. There is a alkaloid found in the green parts potatoes (the potato is a member of the solonaceae familiy) that is a gastrointestional poison. I myself once ingested some raw green potato and got very sick the following day with gastrointestional disturbances.

I may have been intoxicated at the time I posted some of the messages and not thinking logically. Poison hemlock is similar in a sense to daturas. Socrates drank hemlock upon his death for the charges of corrupting the youth. The greek poet Homer was known to take jimson weed and I speculate that jimson may have played a roll in his death which involved a fit of frustration while trying to solve a childrens puzzle.

What I'm saying is reasonably pure DXM can be exracted from over the counter meds, if you want to. Delta 9 posts some interesting stuff, but it is at best, off topic.
\"Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will, within limits drawn by the equal rights of others. I do not add \"within the limits of the law\', because law if often but the tyrant\'s will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.\"-Thomas Jefferson.
