Thank you - I will try it!!

I pulled the socket out of the shroud and messured up a mount.. I just have to bend a couple chunks of sheet metal and I'll be able to mount that socket centered in a 4.5 inch steel exhaust tube.. I plan to make a cool tube out of it.

The ballast will certainly be mounted outside the box, because this box is fully climate controlled, and during the summer I won't want my AC fighting the heat..

I'm going to rig this thing up in my shed and let it run for a few days.. If it is going to start a fire I would like it to happen there so it doesn't burn down my garage lol..

Thanks again for the help
jakeyman Reviewed by jakeyman on . check this shadey light out.. will it work? My question is more about the ballast, if that is what I have here.. When I bought my house I found a lot of left over crap (some of it was really crap) and a lot of really useful stuff.. One thing that stands out is this busted old pole light.. The bulb there, which I would guess is a HPS, says 1000 on the metal part in a spot, and since that is the only number on it, and its big as hell, I would image this would be a great bulb to use for a 5dx6wx7t' room.. The other part of the find, Rating: 5
