What I'm envisioning is this (after arguing with my friend and brother in law who is in on this hobby with me) to supplement our smoking enjoyment and to provide a wide range of diverse strains to sample;

Starting with a soil grow, perhaps going to a hydro setup once I learn how to use one correctly.

Two rooms/grow tents, the first one with between 2 and 4 MH 1000 watt for vegging and putting seedlings in.

The second room/tent with between 2 and 4 HPS 1000 watt lights for a 12/12 flowering.

Using a the necessary fans, ventilation, CO2 system, LST, organic nutrients and soil to enhance growth and yield in both tents.

My thought is something like this could support an output of 3 lbs a month (cycling plants through) or harvesting 4 times a year for a total of 9-10 lbs per harvest after drying and curing, with a total yearly output of 36 to 40 lbs annually of excellent med.

My friend thinks this could only be done with twice as many lights and on a hydro system only, and I disagree of course. (this is what happens when you get a socialist and a libertarian in the same room, smoking out and drinking wine....)

I know alot about many different things but this isn't one of them so I'm trying learn as much as I can from this forum and you fellow gardners. I know how to grow, just not to that level or what to expect per plant, per light, etc...
