You have pointed out just one of a multitude of logical fallacies in the bible.

Here's another one. If god is all powerful, all knowing, and timeless, he knew the outcome of his "bet" with the devil over his most loyal worshiper, Jobe. Basically, he cheated.

But he's also all merciful, so he allowed the devil to totally screw over Jobe and completely destroy his life over a bet. And when Jobe finally had enough and asks why, god gets angry. I know that says love to me.
