100mg/ml solution of commercial fruit pectin (Sure Jell) solution was added to urine drug control (BioChemical Diagnostics) containing 3 times the cut-off concentrations (3X) of 10 abused drugs to obtain  mg/ml, 10 mg/ml and 20mg/ml of pectin.

A bottle containing positive liquid stabilized control urine (designed to monitor performance of different drug detection methods such as GC/MS, HPLC, Immunoassay, and/or hand held single use devices) had 3 different pectin mixtures added directly into it and was tested. The 1st strength failed, but it passed THC check in the last two (10 and 20mg/ml) pectin mixtures.

Sadly for us humans, you cannot add a pectin mixture directly into your bladder before you pee at the lab. What happens in the control urine bottle in the PDF you linked is not what happens in the human bladder after drinking pectin mixtures. Pectin does not make it to your bladder in jello/jam form ready to suck up all the THC and leave nice clean urine in its wake.

The PDF you linked, albeit interesting, is moot as it pertains to urine testing. Since no collector is going to let you add a 20 mg/ml pectin mix to your cup of pee, this isn't going to help.

All what that link established is that if you added any liquid to a urine sample, you'll thin out the THCA concentration to where the sample registers below the cutoff limit of the assay .
