Seed gender is very tricky. There is no way to determine what a seed will be, male or female. Science has shown that a high Nit. and Pott. while in veg and seed growing stage will increase the likelihood of female seeds, but there is no way to actually tell what seed will do or become. females will produce both male and female, hermi's are almost always do to stress, messing with their light cycle (never interrupt dark time) is good way to make your plants herm out on ya.

That's if we're talking about a male plant pollinating a female plant. I think KillerBudG is talking about a female plant that hermied. When a plant hermies, it produces male flowers with feminized pollen, NOT male chromosomes (XX for female, XY for male, the Y makes it a male. Since female plants don't have a Y chromosome, they cannot produce male seeds) Some people say it's 100% female seeds, others say 95%... I still haven't figured out that one.

hey,,,im kind of new to growing around 2 months in my first grow and im doing really good actually, im still trying to figure out what some of this stuff means...what is hermie and what does it do?

Hermie = hermaphrodite

This is when a plant produces both female flowers and male pollen sacks. The plant will then pollinate itself and make seeds.

But I think that it might have been a cause from a dose of Liquid Kool Bloom. If this was the case will theses seeds mostly be female seeds by chance.? Of if it was light stress will theses be female seeds or hermi seeds that will hermi them self.? The thing is, that i never seen any hermi bananas except on 1 plant and it started growing male balls also. But my main concern is, are theses seeds gonna be female or hermi. Im not trying Rating: 5
