Im in my senior year of undergrad study... I started smoking daily about 8 months ago and my grades have gone up (albeit only slightly- from a 3.8 cumulative to a 4.0 last semester...) So I would say that FOR ME, it does not influence my current goals (graduating...) although everybody is different...

for someone who has been smoking all day every day for the past 7 years, give or take a few circumstances where i wasn't able to smoke albeit vacation or family gatherings, i have a few things to say about the everyday use of MJ.

first of all i smoke everyday because i grew up in a small town and there wasn't much to do so my friends and i used to spend our days smoking or trying to get smoke. So when it has a certain comfort zone feel to smoking because i am so used to it. Now it has turned into something i do for various reasons.

part of me is the stoner who wants to rip bongs and smoke 6 paper joints another part of me likes to smoke to enjoy the intricacies of things im accomplishing. i like to smoke to accomplish things like put a new part in my computer or rebuild guitars. part of the time it motivates me.

another part using cannabis because of certain illnesses that i have that when i smoke puts my mind at ease and helps me sleep/relax

i have to say that it has turned into a habit. because when i was growing up we used to smoke right before we would go to an event or do something like watch a crazy movie or play video games. So now my brain associates the feeling of being high to doing certain events and it is really hard for me not to want to smoke before dong something even if the person i am doing it will doesn't smoke or smoke as much.

as for someone who smokes everyday not gong anywhere in life (referring to a previous comment) well i have a audio science degree and i smoked everyday through college and probably was high during most tests and studying. i worked with people like the allman brothers, john paul jones, ben harper, the pixies and i probably wouldn't have made the connections i have if it wasn't for smoking weed. So many of my good friends i met just by asking if anyone had a pipe or a paper around school. bottom line is almost everyone i know smokes so if quit smoking then i would probably get lazy and not do anything.

It's different for all people of course. some people thrive and get motivated when smoking and some people just get dumb (dumber) and get nothing accomplished and waste away. smoking everyday isn't for everyone

I've been an everyday smoker for about 13 years now. I think the longest I ever went without was 12 days and that was because I was in Italy. And then I went to Amsterdam so it was totally worth it! :jointsmile:

I know some people like me that smoke everyday and it doesn't really affect them in a negative way. I still go to work everyday, I still pay my bills every month and I still have alot of activities that don't involve smoking pot. But I will say it keeps me mellow and it makes my back pain much more bearable! but I do have friends that take a hit or two and are so high they can't even see straight! It hasn't been like that for me since I was in high school!

the only time i have had to quit was when i went to China last year for 30 days...when i got home i found out how strong my herb is....took me a few weeks to acclimate myself...i always laughed at others when they were so baked from a few hits...i remeber a few days after returning home that i only took 2 or 3 bongs the entire day. :stoned:

born and raised 4th generation Weedite....that's what locals call themselves!

our adult league softball team was the Weed Smokers....at our football and b-ball games other schools always had posters made like "We are gonna smoke Weed"...."Burn Weed"...."Mow Weed down" ...and various other slogans! school colors are Green, Gold and white....go figure! i was at track meet once warming up for my event and our shirt just says "Weed" on it and kid tells me...dude you got some balls wearing that Weed shirt out here...better go take it off or you are gonna get kicked out...i laughed and said it is my uni...a bidding war started for my shirt...haha!

We have the famous "Enjoy Weed, Ca" shirts! and the 'Got Weed?" shirt

haha...I love it! I'm pretty close to you in sacramento. I have been to weed before...basically just driving through and had to stop in the town called "weed"!! I've never known an actual local!

I went to a beerfest about a year ago and they had beer brewed in weed and I got a shirt....just a cool little town
