We've been a socialist state here in America for the last 200 years. We have socialized schools, socialized roads, socialized retirement and medical programs and lots more. A certain amount of socialism is required to keep infrastucture in place. Atleast for the vast majority of people. Some of us don't require socialism which is why we vote libertarian. But the truth is without some socialism AMericans would die in droves because they are so use to government taking care of them.

^ true. we are all individual but if we choose to have a collective force known as gov't that is a large non-profit corp that we are all share holders in. it works out pretty well, mostly. mostly. but, of course, some of us believe that best you can do to help your neighbor is not to give them handout but to teach them how to live free and independent. :smokin: and those people are called libertarians. :jointsmile:

I like alot of what the Independents have to say......can someone lay out a clear and crisp foreign policy ideal from the independents for me?

^ thats a good question but I think there are probably as many different foreign policies as there are independents. that's kinda the nature of being independent. but here is the link to the Libertarian Party site. I agree with most of what they are for, but not all. I am too independent to agree with everything, I guess.

I read what the site and am on board for like 90% of it.......I still hold some reservations with Ron Paul though.....just dont think he is a "national" candidate who could win near enough votes in tough states. Who knows though.
