thanks bonker7, my set up is in the shed at the bottom of my garden atm so ive switched the propagator on, ive got the light at about 40 inches away bcus when i lower it the temp rises above 90 inside the propagator. shud i just turn the under heating of and check temps at 36inch. atm i have the temps at 85f. i have a grey card to fit over the top i was just worried before its plcaed in the system but i gather that doesnt matter. im gonna look into buying one of these ecolite propagator lights for sale. as yet i dont have ph pen but 1 is ordered and shud arrive sometime this week. ive just got a liquid test. ive ordered most things and in a few weeks shud have the full kit. my room isnt the biggest neither, only 4ftx4ftx8ft. ive already soaked the rockwool in ph 5.5, at a guess judging by the chart (it only goes to 6!) ive put 1seed in compost made for lime hating plants, will this be ok to grow in? my ol man had it for growing orchids or sumin or other. thanks for the hep
