    (aquanauts) First bagseed grow!

I'm with monkeybone, I would wait on the nutes for a seedling. There should be enough nutrients in whatever medium your using to support the plants until they have really entered the vegetative mode (now they're seedlings)

As for the light, my advice would be, if you put your hands over your plant and it's too hot for you then its to hot for the plants.

Hmm, I thought Coco medium didn't have any nutes?

Is that the only thing your using for your medium? Was it pre-mixed with anything?

You can bury your seedling all the way up to water leaves. I do this when they are about 4"-6"'s. So after burying they are about 2"-3"s out of ground. it really depends on the strain. Also male plants tend to grow taller much faster than females some believe that to be because they have a better chance of getting pollen into the air and spreading farther. There is a difference for all strains some grow tall some grow short some are bushing some are more like trees sparse and leafy. Your baby's look healthy and female. At week 3 you can sex your plants if your worried about males.

@kaiten408 - Yeah, my medium is 100% Canna Coco. In that case should I be adding tiny ammounts of nutes to my watering?

@Luvmymeds - Thanks for the good info! I hope they turn out to be female

    Day 6 - AM - Veg

    • Coco was dry in both cups until about 2"~
    • Watered both cups with RO/DI water (no nutes)
    • Used spray bottle to moisten the area a bit

Question: Is it okay to use the spray bottle? There are no nutes mixed in with the spray bottles just pure RO/DI water. I'm primarily using it to mimic some morning dew on the seedlings. Main watering is done with a cup.

^^^ dry spot above was because I added some more coco to that cup

I have read that having large droplets of water on leaves can act as a magnifying glass and may cause some damage to your leaves. Not sure if this is true, but to be on the safe side, I would water straight to the soil, at least till your little babies get bigger and stronger.

2 things. Yes, get the light closer, probably 6" would be fine for a 150 MH. Second thing, start them on 1/4 concentration nutes soon and work your way to 1/2 strength in a week or two depending on how they do. If you want to be overly cautious, start em at 1/8th.

This is not soil, when the seed runs out of pop you are gonna see it drop.
Think of your buds like chocolate chip cookies: some people like em crunchy and some people like em chewy. Personally, I want them tanned golden brown but not crispy....and no one likes cold raw dough in the middle of their cookie.

@PhatJay - Thanks, I'll keep that in mind.

    @wyldeganja30 - I'm using a 150w MH @ 6700k for vegging. Good luck no your bagseeds!

@jakester - Finally someone with some sort of direction with Coco. Yea since pretty much Day 3 I've been feeding them with 1/4th the concentration and the seedlings don't seem to mind at all. Thanks!
