when growing from seed start at 12/12 for 30 days then increase lights 1 hour every other day until you get to 18/6....keep nitrogen levels low and temps in the 70's for the first 30 days also...this is more like spring time conditions and you will have better chance of having girls:thumbsup:

looking at your above shot....my guess is that the only girl in your box is the center small one....just a guess from looking at the structure of the plant

the branches on the fan leaves are much longer on the 2 outside small ones and shorter on the center child....long branches usually = male....but grow them out to be certain....just my guess from years of popping seeds before getting my harem!:thumbsup:

Oh wow I didn't know you could "encourage" the sex of a plant. Always thought they were pre-determined in the seed.

some seeds are pre-determined but most depending on environmental conditions will increase the chance one way or the other....lighting is a critical factor in helping them! try to be Mother Nature and make it spring time in your grow room when popping seeds...70's lights on....down to 50's lights off :thumbsup:

The bible suggest high N Nutes during early stages to increase chances of female? For some reason I've had pretty good luck with seeds and getting females. Feminized seeds are awesome just make try not to get a strain that still has a high hermie rate, I wasn't aware of this till I already had mine:thumbsup:

Day 29 / 5 - AM - Flower

• Nothing out of the norm. today.
• Watered with nutes.
• Plants seem to be getting taller.

• Rotated the smaller pot into the middle as the main plant is just growing like madness.
• Watered with nutes this morning.
• Noticed the tops are starting to look different... can just looking at the tops determine sex?

after reading the MMJ bible it says higher N levels and increased blue light....but that is only info i was not correct on...my bad! i am going to copy that page and post it in a new thread as i am sure with as many peeps as i see growing here many are popping seeds and i am sure they would like to increase the chances of having girls! :jointsmile:

looking at the side by side shots the smaller of the 2 has tighter nodes and shorter branches on the fans....and i think the center one of the 3 smaller plants will be a girl....just my prediction on looking at them! they are looking great...good job on the grow!:thumbsup:

Saw the thread, sweet post!

The ones that stretch rediculously fast scare me. So far they've been males in my book when they just start shooting up ridiculously. Mine shot up like 2-3 inches every night. I was like WTF! Then I saw the balls and introduced the scissors to them
