You're right, Mojo, there is some smell. I don't know enough about chemistry to speak intelligently about it, but the difference is still quite astounding. When you smoke, there's a smell that clings. Somehow it gets into everything. You can smell your coworkers when they come back from a cigarette break, and it's no different with pot.

But whatever smell is there when you vaporize, it's totally different. It's a light smell that quickly dissipates, and most importantly, doesn't smell like you would expect. I tried to turn a friend on to vaporizing tobacco (he's trying to quit, and I know he's not going to, so I figured he should at least use nicotine as safely as possible) while a second friend who doesn't smoke was sitting at the same table in a small, enclosed kitchen. The second friend agreed that what he smelled didn't smell at all like cigarette smoke, that it was actually a rather pleasant smell, and that he couldn't smell it now that 30 seconds had passed anyway.
