Hi guys,

I'm after getting a new job and I maybe drug tested... About 2 weeks ago I had 1 joint.... Just the one... On average, I'd smoke once every 2 months and I'm 5'10, medium build... If I was to be tested, would I fail????

Only a home THC test would accurately answer that question for you - far more accurate than speculation from others in this forum.

was lookin at wikipedia and that says it shows up between 3-7 days after use... If you had to estimate though, would it be a yes/no???

more than likely it's still in your system. Marijuana ususally stays in your system for up to 28 days. Get some niacin and sweat it out or check out a smoke shop. They have all kinds of drinks and aids to help pass a piss test. Good luck man! :jointsmile:

See, I've seen loads of different things around the place. Some places have said that the test would only show up positive, if you had smoked within a week to 10 days, while lots of others have said a month etc.

Anyways, what are the chances of my company doing a drugs test on me... There based in France and it's a 6 month contract???

And btw, if I do fail, would being in the room with people who smoke be a genuine excuse?

Because getting/keeping a job is of utmost importance, I dont waste time with guesstimations or cleanup timetables, especially from 'encyclopedia sites' in which any Tom or Harry can post, modify, and edit. Test yourself with a home THC test if you really think this job is important to you.

Niacin is a myth. It does nothing to rid the body of THC. Sweating doesnt help much because very little THC is excreted via sweat. The rest is being excreted via the urine and bowels.
Detox products are a big scam. They are an overpriced way of accomplishing the same thing that can be accomplished for $$$ less by following the guidelines outlined in the Dilution sticky thread.

I would buy a self test kit, but I'm moving to France on saturday and won't have a permanent residence for 2-3 weeks after. So, I'm just contemplating whether or not they would test me... I really don't think they will but there's always that doubt in my mind...

You can check the company policy to see if an Employee Assistance Program is offered for employees who test positive on a U/A for the first time.

If this is not an option, then you just have to move on and try to find another job.

But tbh, I don't even know if there will be a drugs test... Is there anyway of actually finding out?
