    air flow help

I have a 4x4' Mylar HYDROPONIC GROW TENT 48x48x76 HYDRO BOX HUT. using a 400W HPS tent has 3 exhaust holes... one I am using for the power cords to go out.. have a osculating fan in there now my question is
WHAT DO I DO FOR AIR FLOW? SHOULD I GET AN INLINE FAN WITH DUCTING TO BRING AIR IN? AND GET ANOTHER INLINE FAN TURNED AROUND TO TAKE AIR OUT?? THIS IS THE PART I AM VERY CONFUSED ABOUT.. IF ANYONE COULD PUT THE WHOLE THING IN LAYMANS TERMS(OR JUST IM A DUMBASS TERMS) ID APPRECIATE IT; THE WHOLE INLINE, BLOWER, CARBON FILTER ETC I DONT GET IT SEEMS LIKE THE CARBON FILTER SHOULD BE OUTSIDE OF THE TENT??. SOMEONE HELP!

I have the same tent but with a 600 hps- did you get it figured out? It's a little trial and error depending on what you have and you want to accomplish. I will watch this and try to give some suggestions if you still need it

Put an inline or squirrel cage exhaust near the top of the tent and it will suck air through a filter at the bottom of the tent. How much more in depth you want to get is up to you. You could put a carbon scrubber at the exhaust and a hepa filter at the inlets...lots you could do.

I know I've seen this discussed before, but I forgot the consensus.

Is it better to push or pull air through a carbon filter? I'm guessing it's better to pull it / suck it through like you suggested...

That's what I heard as well. Not sure about the effinciency, but I know that if there's any exhaust duct leaks, it's taken care of smell-wise with the air going through the filter first.

I say the carbon filter goes inside the tent, sucks the dank air through and blows the clean air outside..hmmm smells good. Except those filters can be a bitch to hang, I dropped one on my foot the first time I tried, bruise lasted a month and the fan has a big dent on the side. I thought for sure I had broken it - it would be pretty hard to RMA that one - but it works great so I guess they are pretty tough buggers
