Heat output difference 250hps or 400hps?

My grow room is 2' deep X4' wide X4'high I will only have limited means of ventilation ie, computer fans for noise reasons, and passive intake. I am only goin to growing 2-3 plants at a time from clones for personal use. I know the 400 watt will provide thicker heavier buds and heavier yeild but is it worth it for the extra heat? Or would the 250 be sufficient for my use, with less heat output?

That depends on 2 things. 1. how much you consume, and 2. how picky you are about quality and potency.

I could get by with a 250 and some decent genetics. If you are careful to keep a steady supply of clones moving into the flower chamber you should always have weed.

well from what I have messed with (400w hps AC hood) it is not too hot at all. have you picked up a hood yet get one with 6 inch in line duck hookups. and hook up hose with a quiet fan...:stoned:

sry bro but you\\\\\\\'re not going to be able to cool a 250w or a 400w hps w/ cpu fans.

nor should you be using cpu fans to cool an area of that size (unless you roll some low temp solution like led or cfl)....

to roll hps in a closet you need to get a decent cfm inline fan such as a canfan.

there are AMAZING equations on this very board if you search for them for figuring what size fan you\'ll need based on your cubic area.... i\'d start w/ the sticky thread for this very room called \"fans... not just blowing hot air\"...
