I've always heard about the west coast for OG. But I'm no expert.
But I do know that in Florida, Crippy (or krypie) is a generic term for good bud, like "dank" or "kind". Its not a strain. It's short for crippler.

Does anyone know the lineage of LA Con? I thought it was some kind of OG cross.

LA con is some sort of bubba kush. i think they call it the LA affy. but than again the cats at DNA are always changing the names on their parents stock ... either way it is a pretty strong and tasty indica...

OG Kush SFV.....if it was florida they would have called it Swamp Kush!

Chemdawg came from the east coast which is the mother and the male was a cross of Old World Kush x Lemon Thai

We will let you know when our og is done please come try it we will give you a free sample.. If you grow we will share with you what we have learned. No one knows everything.:hippy: FYI we are in the original Og kush circle..it comes from florida do some research. The dead head bag of weed story is a myth.. The real og is the krypie from florida originally..

I think you are confused about the deadhead bag of weed story being about OG... it is about chemdog. The players in that story are not anonymous strangers to the CO med scene, you may meet them at sometime, then you can call tell them that they lie. :rastasmoke:

Every time I see this thread hit the top again I think,...

OG Kush gives people hard ons?? That's gonna kill Viagra sales! :S2:

Beyond that,.. I think this is a stupid thread, doomed to cause nothing but arguments.:wtf:

Thus I think it should be allowed to fade into obscurity.

    got this from another blog>

Hint for those willing to debunk the current myths and go beyond profits and group think put out by the kali kush pushers: Florida.

Ever wonder why no official lineage was ahem "documented" till just a few years ago when OG has been around for a decade? And why did it change MONTHLY on IC mag (and WT as well) till it's current spin was adopted as "fact"? (aka spin)

But peeps have had the Florida OG for far longer (pre 88) then the recent (ahem, spun) accounts of a 1996 tahoe OG as the original.

In the words of Oswaldo Garibaldi AND David Hannum: One is born every second. There is cash to be made.

Some people collect strains and knowledge, some collect fame and money.

If you want to know the real truth, you have to be willing to discard dubious sources such as seed sellers.

Smile Search for Animal Chin: The Real Story Behind OG
    Hello my friends,
I hope that you're having a wonderful weekend!

I've waited for a while to post this thread, but I feel that the origins of OG have been so skewed, that it's time I speak up. I've titled this thread, Search for Animal Chin in reference to the classic Powell Peralta Skateboarding Movie because, not only was "Searching for Animal Chin" my Avatar while I was researching the OG, but in that film, they never find Animal Chin, just a huge halfpipe in the middle of the desert with a Chinese Character carved on the inside. They have an amazing time skating the halfpipe, but they never find Animal Chin himself and conclude that by skating the pipe, they have found his spirit. This is much like my journey has been tracking down the real OG.

Once the 91 thread started blowing up, I spoke with a representative of the Chem Family who, in correlation with the same story I've always heard, re-stated that the origin of OG is 91 Chemdog (also known as Chem #1) back-crossed into itself. Now, I love Chem, but I have worked with every Chem cut and with real Chem seeds (according to the rules outlined by Proposition 215 and Amendment 420), and I have back-crossed the shit out of everything: Chem #1 back into #1, Chem #1 back into The Sister, back into Chem #4, back into Chem D, etc . . . I have also worked with tons of cuts of OGs both growing and producing, and although it might ruffle a few feathers here on WT, I have to say: OG IS NOT CHEM #1 BACK-CROSSED INTO ITSELF OR ANY OF THE OTHER CRAZY STORIES THAT I'VE HEARD ON THIS WEBSITE. I do believe that OG has now been crossed into Chem, which is why it can be such great medicine, but as a breeder, I cannot endorse a story that just can't be true.

What I recommend to any patient who questions the heritage of OG, is to try to find the original SFV OG cut (NOT THE SEEDS . . . THE ACTUAL, LANKY, STINKY, LOW-PRODUCING CUT). It was the first OG I worked with and it taught me the most. It stayed in my small room for a long time as other cuts came and went and when the "hoarded" cuts of Skunk came through, I knew I was close . . . those foul, stinky, I just butchered a pack of skunks with my F150 type of genetics . . . so, I took the SFV cut, Chem #1, a Skunk #1, an "MSS" (also called Skunk VA in some parts), and one of the newer, more popular OG cuts . . . and I took them all through the entire process together. The conclusion: the SFV, Skunk #1, MSS and OG cut all grew and produced similarly, though the SFV and OG produced less. The Chem #1 grew almost exactly like a Sativa phenotype. OG IS NOT CHEM . . . IT IS A PRODUCT OF AN INSANE SKUNK CROSS. The other strain is most likely one of the bomb breeder's cuts of Northern Lights or another bomb breeder's cut, since, really, OG was developed in America, probably in California or Florida, long before 1991 and held onto by a very small group of people (with no name).

This is obviously a very important matter, especially to those patients who need to know what genetics exist in their medicine. One thing I can say, is that, when we have patients, like my mother (and many other cancer survivors), who ask for that, "crazy Skunk from the 60s and 70s," I show them our top-shelf OGs, and they generally say, "That's the stuff." And when they medicate with it, they report that it's even better than "the good old days." I am an OG-Fiend, so I had to know where it came from, but I truly believe that, just like in The Search For Animal Chin, we should all just skate this amazing halfpipe together and agree that now that we have medicated with the OG, Animal Chin's spirit lives within all of us.

    Have a wonderful week!

    One love,

Bingo Medi. Very few know about the TWO different plants called OG.
And even fewer know that about Florida that leans on the indica side..

    Impressed!

What's with the hard-ons for OG Kush!?

From what I've seen, the general concensus is that OG Kush = Chemdog x (Old World Pakistani Kush x Lemon Thai)

As to what part of the planet this union occurred... I don't know enough to care.

I'd like to meet these guys in the Chemdog saga! Isn't Pdub a strain or guy from Colorado? Man, it'd be sweet to meet someone from the "legend" and get the real scoop.
    Brown-eyed women and red grenadine...
