How long should till you exhale.

Coming up this year is my one(yeah one) year anniversary of smoking pot. Now i have a question, how long should you keep smoke in your lungs. Till you can't hold it any more? Does it really matter?
If this question sounds strange its most likely that my brain is in another place right now.

hold it in as long as you want man. the longer you hold it the more THC you get, but most of it is absorbed within the first seconds of inhalation anyway.

I was just asking because when i got a small ass roach on a clip i have to exhale and inhale fast or i only got a hit or two left.

put that roach in a bowl if you have one. roach bowls are much more efficient.

No dont hold it in for as long as u can your just gonna get light headed for not recieving any oxygen, It does matter how long u hold it in for but you really gotta hold it in for like 7 secs, or the way i do it til i cough which if i have a big enough hit i would but since u have a little ass amount hold it for 10 secs.

I hold for a good 5 second count, find it works nice. Also, to get the smoke into your lungs better swallow when it is in your mouth.

If you actually swallow smoke into your lungs usually that makes you feel sick. At least it makes me feel odd, it's funny burping out smoke though... lol.

Anyways, I'm all anti-marathon (holding the smoke in for a long time) because as someone mentioned earlier, most of the THC is absorbed nearly immediately. When you hold it in you give carbon and carcinogens and other crap a longer time to settle in your lungs, while only a little bit more THC will be absorbed. I don't find it worth it, try exhaling and then holding your breath, if you want the lack of oxygen head rush.
