Marijuana for the Poor and dying
Well I am a hospice nurse and I am having trouble finding some way to get pot to my patients who really need it. I have been told that they need to see a doctor, most of my patients are bed bound with various diseases. If your healthy and have money its easy. What about the people in the projects on medical and are in need a little compasion. All the clubs and doctors seem to reeping in the profits and who is there to provide for the real patients? I am an RN and have been getting the run around from dispensary and doctors. If your dying of Cancer and have no money you can get morphine and ativan, haldol, and you name it, but what about a little free herb for the dying. Guess thier SOL.

The poor get mistreated and discarded....
Anyways, just wanted to add a post to show my support, your concerns are well founded. Hoping there is something you can do about it. Maybe you can start something up or get some info or help from some members here. The Cali regional forums are pretty active(north, south, Activism not too shabby either  Who knows maybe there already something going on you can get involved in, but being from the other side of the country... hell if I know

so, go grow a big crop, and give it away to the poor and sick
... OR, you could just open a 'dispensary', claiming to be 'for the sick and injured', and get filthy rich on the proceeds :wtf: ... at least, that's the way it is now ... Kalifornia dispensaries only pay around 50% (or less), for the weed they sell ... fact ... :smokin:

The reality is that your blame is misplaced. You should focus your anger on the prohibitionist governmental policies that are creating these kinds of situations. I can't really blame the doctors and collectives who need to maintain a war chest in order to protect themselves from the broad range of persecution we still encounter from the fascist prohibs who could step in and try to ruin our lives at any moment.
The path ahead of us is still not clear, people. The prohibitionists are still trying to shut us down and ruin our lives.
That "fifty percent" mark up some of you are talking about isn't sh!t compared the hit some of can potentially take from the local constabularly.
You don't like it- start up your own medical practice or collective.

that the competition would have brought down prices, but, like lead was saying there is an artificial floor that surely exist soley because of prohibition. In California in would be prohibition of non med use. :twocents:
still i like the idea of free bud :hippy: everyone should grow their own. i would if wasn't a life sentence here. :wtf: i miss cali for that. you could always grow all you needed out there, even before 215. :smokin:

Maybe we should grow in the patients houses. I know they are poor but I bet we could pay the electric bill easier than finding someone to give free MMJ. They could sell some or give some to other patients and then we are solving the poor and sick problem. And what's to worry about getting busted we are dieing. What are they going to do to us ?
Show me a government you can TRUST and I will show you PARADISE.
