I did find a few sources, unfortunately, we're concerned they won't arrive in time for this test...however.

We're also concerned about the sample being synthetic...
(This test is a random for a truck driver)
We were told the samples are sent for inspection, regardless if the pass the dip test, and so, perhaps synthetic is not the route for us.

Upon spending a shocking few moments over morning coffee discussing this, we realized that we know very few people who can actually pass a piss test with no forwarning! We did manage to find a very willing friend who still owes me a favor, and he was quite happy to trade a "twofour of Labatts Blue and a home cooked meal for a mason jar of...well, ya know!
(of course, the inevitable business jokes crop up, and we've nicknamed him 'Bessie' - he's such a good sport!)

So, he's going to go with subbing, but with the real stuff.

Spent the weekend practicing with heat pads, thermometers & such...
(luckily, this testing place locks you in a closet by yourself, so the bait & switch won't be a problem) and all seems to be a go.
Seems fairly easy to keep a consistant heat at the right temp for the required time, and he's confident with the whole deal.

He'll test either Tuesday or Thursday...(his truck has a fridge/freezer, so there's no problem with keeping things fresh) I'll pop back in after the deed is done & post the results.

Hubby is an only occassional smoker, (I'm the chronic of the family) and not while he's on the road...he actually hadn't smoked for a few weeks, then got a back spasm - I blame the dern seat in the truck, and so I rolled him up one to get him to relax so I could 'absorbine' him, hehe. Of course, not a week later, he gets the call.
