    Plant update: Opinions?

I flush with 3 times the water in relation to the size of the bucket 2 weeks before harvest, as many others do. If you're worried about, go ahead and flush now like this, they should dry up again in a week. Anyways I've harvested the day after watering, just takes a little longer to dry them. Not sure if drying them out in the last week really increases trich production or if it's just another urban myth.

As for the grassy smell, that's the remaining chlorophyll (more like borophyll! sorry, couldn't resist ) which goes away after drying and curing, nothing to do with the flush.

Shiiiiit. All I did was water regularly, just without nutes. looks like I have a week to go haha. I'm gonna just let these couple gallons of water hit room temp, and I'll flush them asap, I'm thinking I'll just do 5-6 gallons today (they're in 2.5 gal buckets). I should run all this water through at once, correct?

should I assume that the underline on curing means most of the chlorophyll goes away while curing?

Sorry about all these random flushing questions, Im just sooooo close to finishing and I don't want to screw it up (again)! Thanks

    No problem:jointsmile:

Run the water through at one time. You'll probably have to water and wait, water and wait, etc. while it drains. And yes, the curing will get that chlorophyll smell and taste out more than just drying. http://boards.cannabis.com/indoor-gr...t-secrets.html, http://boards.cannabis.com/grow-faqs...your-buds.html

And thanks to you too, Moody, I'm definitely going to give it some more time. The buds have been getting bigger and bigger, but recently have seemed to stop getting any bigger. Trichomes are starting to get thicker (There's already about 15-20% more than two days ago).

I'm using the trichome coloration method to harvest, so I shouldn't be off on when I cut. Obviously i wont be cutting all of them, just the developed one.

Right now, they're crystal clear. I'm looking for a active, cerebral, headie high, so I'll be harvesting as soon as the trichs go cloudy.

Don't cut AS SOON as they go cloudy. Give em a week or two to cloud up more or less completely. Believe me, any less is a complete waste of the grow. I am not one of the "wait till 50% amber" wackos but I have done my share of "look it's cloudy cut it down" harvests and they ALWAYS disappoint.
Think of your buds like chocolate chip cookies: some people like em crunchy and some people like em chewy. Personally, I want them tanned golden brown but not crispy....and no one likes cold raw dough in the middle of their cookie.

    Thanks Jake.

Looks like I have no choice in the matter haha. I'd like to flush her and let her soil completely dry up (about a week or so) before I cut her. I just smoked the buds I ended up clipping a couple days ago today, and I see exactly what you mean. I will be waiting haha.

And Bigtops, thanks as usual.

Random question, just for fun: I picked up some bud called Trail Mix today. Anyone heard of it? Sounds kinda made up, but the smoke is great.

Waiting is the key for best harvest. But not too long!

Trail mix, reminds me of nut mixes...
