I am on topic , my argument being that what you do is up to you,, but children and animals should not be forced to share our second hand smoke.
As for nowhere man,, I have cats that will sit all day in a smokey room and I have others that run at the first whiff so I would like to make clear that they have the ability to leave the room or house even , those that choose to stay are kicked out during heavy periods because of my concern for their health.

Part of having pets is taking responsibility for their welfare , anyone who thinks different should be banned from having pets.

They are not being forced to it. They put their cute 'lil faces up to us when we are smoking, and we exhale into their lungs. We don't grab onto their faces, and blow down their mouths, and then laugh evilly as they get "fucked up". We are giving them the choice to do it or not.

I got my cat lean the other week, all he wanted to do was lick himself in places i'd rather not watch him lick.

Ive only gotten my cat charlie high once, but he loved it. Hes honestly the best cat in the world, hes gentle, good natured, and lets you lay him on his back for hours. Never hisses at anyone, never heard him growl once. I guess fat cats (and people) really are more jolly than the rest because I have two other cats who are skinny and they are assholes. Anyhoo, one time I was smoking in my room and charlie came walking in. THen he sort of started sniffing the air really quickly and weirdly, then he jumped up onto my bed and sat right next to me. I took a hit and blew it in his face and he winced, then walked away because he didnt like the smoke, but then he came stumbling back into my room a second later. I blew the smoke into his face again when he barely made it back onto my bed, and this time he didnt leave but he plopped down onto his side and started purring like crazy. I gave him one more hit, then finished my bowl. Charlie became very relaxed, he started to become very affectionate and rubbed against me purring and giving me love bites. If he didnt like it, he wouldnt have come back into the room. If he didnt like it, he wouldnt have purred as much as he did. Further more, if he didnt like it I would have known and I wouldnt have given him more. I know where your coming from defending the animals, because they too are living creatures. BUt the bond between pet and owner is too great for any of us to intentionally hurt our pets, even if we are stoned out of our minds.

PS: That night I got charlie about 20 cat nip toys that were in the 1$ bin at Target, they were all LOADED with cat nip, then I brought charlie into my room and poured them ALL onto my bed while I smoked pot and he tripped on the cat nip. I love my kitty!

Cute story radefactor, I love cats! But in my experience, all the fat cats I've ever met/had, were the most grouchy ones. The skinnier cats always seem nicer and more mellow. But I still love fat cats more

Anyway, I don't seem to have the luck you guys are having. My dog Lucy seems to hate weed. She knows it's something different than cigs, so she comes by to smell it, and she smells it for a long time, as if inspecting it. But then when I light it up, she runs away. She usually hangs around for cigarette smoke, but when I light up my pipe she just hates it. In fact, whenever I smoke weed around her, she immediately starts running around in circles around me and just generally goes nuts. I have no idea what this means.

Anyway, it's too bad she hates weed so much. She's so hyper all the time, it would be nice to finally see her mellow out.

thanks yep, charlies a good boy. hes sitting on my lap right now while im eating my popcorn, purring like crazy as usual. maybe your dog runs around like crazy because she has no idea what weed is, but then again dogs are alot more territorial than cats so maybe your dog feels threatened? glad you enjoyed my story tho, i think after I did that with him my bond with him grew stronger. he seems to be around me alot more. call me crazy tho, whenever I come home stoned or i smoke and go near him, I swear he knows. he acts all funny, but then again I could just be imagining it since im high.
