    HELP! bugs? Nutes?

    Peace all,

Having a hell of a time with plants, both in veg and flower. Leaves have pale patches on them, leaf tips first get "crispy", then the entire leaf goes. We did seem to have spider mites, although I never did see one, and had some damn fungus gnats. Gnats are gone, we did heavy miticides and neem. Soil grown plants. I do see teeny, tiny white things. When using the major micro, they don't look like a bug....they don't move at all. What is going on with my babies? Any help and advice is GREATLY appreciated!

    HELP! bugs? Nutes?

    Hi,

what is wrong with my babies? Flourescents in the veg room, small fan going, temps about 75, well water (with water softener), soil grown (Miracle grow seed starter mix, then MG potting soil), MG tomato food, and MG plant food alternated. Room size about 5x6 (I guess).

Plant will look beautiful, then the pale patches start, leaf tips get "crispy", leaf dies off. Had a run of fungus gnats, and I thought this might be spider mites, but I have not seen one of them yet. Treated with avid and forbid, and then neem. Yes, I did the avid and forbid as I was freaking out thinking it was bugs and wanted to completely eradicate the basterds! Please help me, I feel so sad for my babies....

The pic is kinda small, so it is hard to tell. I would try flushing, if you haven't done that in a while. It could be nute burn.

Did you use the pesticides per instructions, or could you have gone overboard with strength and frequency?
Did you rinse the neem off after a few hours, or did you let it keep building-up on the leaves? (clogs leaf pores restricting plant transpiration)
Did you raise lights till leaves were dry? (more important with HID lighting)
Do you spray anything else on the plants?

White dots...perhaps egg cases...? I'm not a bug expert though. All I get are gnats which are annoying but do no damage.

What nutrients do you use, and do you follow manufacturers recommended doses?
