    Having trouble sexing

My babies have been under 12/12 for 3 days now. The two AK-48 appear to have a white hair comming out so I am pretty sure they are female. The other two are Fast Sweet Dreams and there is no indication of anything that I can see.
How long can males be left in the same room as females? I have to leave for 3 days so I won't be able to remove them if they turn out to be male. Thanks guys.

Takes more than 3 days for male flowers to form and spread their pollen, you will be fine

Its been a week now and I still can't determine the sex in the two Fast Sweet Dreams! In the two AK-48's it is blatantly obvious that they are female as there are the v shaped white hairs growing out of and intersections. On the other two there is no white hairs but no little balls either....there is significant growth of something however..almost looks like a little pitcher or something.

If they are male will the balls be very visisble before they are able to pollenate my other babies? I'm considering just hacking them down as I have 2 confirmed females and don't want to jeopardize them.

Got any pics? If you can't post them here, open a photobucket.com account and paste us a link. Male flowers can look like balls or bananas.

Male in first pic, then 2nd and 3rd are female. If you open last pic you will see where pistil is marked.

    Hope this helps:rasta:

I thought those hairs had to be white? My two questionable babies look a bit similar to the last 2 pictures there. Sort of like a pitcher with thin leaves growing out....not white though. Like I said...my AK-48 have definite white hairs so I have been looking for the same in the other strain. THere are no balls that I can see though. THank you for the pics. I'll keep you posted.

The hairs normally are white, tiny green leaves are just the starting of branches. Pitcher shaped growth are what I think of as the start of female, but if it looks club like then I would say male. It took way to long for my white rhino's to show and then they ended up all males...bummer

I hate sexing plants, its a pain in my eye, the left one. Anyway most often they are white, but iv read that they could be yellow, green, pink and there might be a few more. Once ya do it a couple of times, its pretty easy, but i understand your stress. The best advise i can give you is simply just wait. They would need to be a bit bigger then in the first pic i posted before any pollinate your ladies. That male was huge and i was bumbed an was hoping for it to be a hermy, but full on male there. Of about 8 other plants in the area only found 2 seeds, which was great cuz id like to grow the bag seed again. I liked it cuz it was a great pain killer, but couch lock:stoned:

The second was same stuff. But that one was only 14'' tall, maybe a 1/16th, but killer:rasta:

Dont worry... it takes awhile for a male to pollinate. You will have plenty of time to remove them after you know for sure.
