I take medical marihuana for scleroderma, or rather the symptoms of scleroderma. I didn't have too difficult a time applying for medical marihuana. My GP was uncomfortable with the mention of the word and referred me to my specialist. My Specialist and me had a discussion about what treatments I have tried and what marijuana did for my symptoms. I printed off papers that fit my situation from health Canada. Had them completed (me and my doctor) and though the wait was much longer than I expected I was approved. I do feel like I will face discrimination for any smells coming from my apartment, but I make budder so the smells are of little issue. I can't directly contact the people that know the most about my medical marihuana, I have to call health Canada and then wait for 5 business days (it usually is longer) before I get a call back. This is a minor issue for me but it does cause me stress. The only other thing I would mention is that there doesn't appear to be any drug plan that covers the cost of medical marihuana, that I know of.
