Never heard of ice spraying before, but IMO i dont think it would work, as i dont know what cold water could do to a hermy to "change it". What have you heard, or read about it, im curious about it. Iv heard it will help stop the pollen from leaving the plant after it flowers, but other then that, id chop it and eat it or something. You sure dont want a bunch of seeds:thumbsup:
Good luck:rasta:

I have misted ice water up to the day of harvest during an evil spider mite infestation that would not give up. I had some buds rot on me, but those were the ones that the mites destroyed, the plants that were doing okay had no trouble with the misting. If you can do it 20-30 minutes before the lights come on you will minimize any chances of bud mold.....you can also raise the pH of the water to inhibit spore and mildew growth.

What is the reasoning behind stressing your ladies by spraying with icewater? Sounds rather...suicidal. Where do you guys get this info...?
I only spray to correct defeciencies, and I only use properly ph'd water at room temperature. And then...only once. Especially in flower. Too easy to cause budrot and contaminates in the water can clog respritory pores. Plus...water get's trapped between overlapping leaves, and can remain for more than a day. I live in the desert southwest, (summertime ambients around 8% humidity) and rarely am I forced to raise humidity or spray. Normally there is enough humidity provided by the soil and plant transpiration.
Wingedson: you are setting yourself up for failure. Never let water (moisture) sit in a bud for half an hour. Damage can start within 5 to 15 minutes. Especially if in a humid environment already.
Use the right tools for the job. No pest strips, neem if necessary, but ice water...?

i got my info from cannibasworld and i thought the same thing...suicide, but i tried it because i got a hermie and i feel i am wasting my time watching seeds develop...soo i did a light icewater mist just on the large fan leaves blocking the buds with my hand.I have already noticed that some of the beans(not all or even 50%) in the pods have loosened up to where i can move them around in the pod...is it because the icewater, i dunno i am a newb.
