I think people need to realize, with everything considered, including gas at almost $3 a gallon, that a half priced GRAM is NOT going to entice hardly anyone to come in. I say this as a possible customer, and don't mean to criticize anyone. But at this stage of the game, it's going to take a LOT to get people to come to your spot. A guy like me has a place/places where I KNOW that I am going to get GREAT stuff, so why would I try out a new place, with the time and money investment that goes with that? I get a free half gram or more when I go to the 2 places I frequent anyway, and I know others get the same kind of love. So where's the sizzle?
Just a thought.

I appreciate your feedback. In your opinion, what would be an enticing offer?

(I don't live in your area, so there's probably no offer that will get me in the door.)
What I'd really like to see in all these dispensary advertising threads is PICTURES of the medicine. I realize inventory and price changes fast, but this is one of those situations where a picture really IS worth 1000 words. Congratulations on your opening.

Yes, I too wish you all of the best.
An enticing offer? Hmmm....
I think the bottom line is that IF you have the goods, you KNOW you have the goods and service to get people back in if you can only get them there once, then what is reasonable when one considers how many hundreds of options that are out there? If you don't have the goods, unless you have a great location (think c3) then it's a severe uphill battle.
To get anyone from Denver to come is going to be tough. What is $7 in gas and 2 hours of my time worth to see if MAYBE your place is worth the trip?
Blessings.

Why would posting old pictures of pot be an enticement? That's eBay motors thinking. You suck customers in with 4 year old pictures. Inventory will always be inconsistent. You can grow the same seed strain from three different sellers and come out with completely different results.
You've got your work cut out for you. The hardest part of your biz will be in competition with other dispensaries. Maybe offer weekly specials perhaps sent out by email.
Location will be your biggest advantage. Most patients want convenience to their homes. Luckily, Boulder is a very walk/bicycle conscience town. I can simply ride my bike down the path to your store.
Boulder has some of the highest rated shops in the state. Perhaps take a look at their model and see what they're doing. The best way to go out of biz is to offer $25 grams and $60 eighths as some have before you, now gone.
Finish your website. Being incomplete really looks bad to new customers. Then sign up on weedmaps.com to let us get directions and rate your dispensary.
Right now, you have a med rec going for $75 w/ or $100 w/o giving them your caregiver rights. That's already a big plus in my book.
See you Saturday...

As a new dispensary, I have some steep competition in the area. The place next to me sells grams for $25+, I find that absolutley insane. I reject about 80% of the product that vendors have brought in to show me. Regretfully, I opened with 9 strains, but they are the finest I have seen in a long time. We have a nice mix of sativas, indicas, and some hybrids. I have some growers bringing me in a few new strains for the weekend, so we can up our choices. I truly want to run a class act operation, offering the best product as well as the services. Having a great staff who truly understand the needs of the patient makes it all the better.
Thanks for all the well wishes and suggestions.

I think you have things right, but just add a bargain strain for those who can't afford more or for those like me who every time I visit a new place I feel obligated to purchase a little something even though I don't usually like even most places' mid-grade. I use the cheap stuff for my edibles.
Good Luck!

I am still looking for my "come to Jesus" strain. Since I am heading up to THC tomorrow I hope to come closer to my goal.\"The illegality of cannabis is outrageous, an impediment to full utilization of a drug which helps produce the serenity and insight, sensitivity and fellowship so desperately needed in this increasingly mad and dangerous world.\"
