The value of the petition is we need enough names to have an open debate in the dail, so it does have value, you have to start somewhere. An you donâ??t even have to put in where your from, Its your choice weather or not to put your name down but if everyone thought like you, women would still not be able to vote an slavery would be an everyday thing. Its time more people stood up an were counted.

    lol

please explain how people signing this gets it ''debated in the dail'', this petition is ancient crap of an old irish legalization site (hemp is legal now ffs) and in no way is going to some how magically be debated in the dail.

there is a long road to legalization, debate in the dail is a long way away
do some research in irish law to start

i support legalization, i love weed. Theres a drug arrest every 20 minutes in this country, we are hemorrhaging money that we need to keep our hospitals open and not more fuel for the government jet, also with less smokers in jail maybe i wouldnt have to read an article every week about a rapist or sex offender being let of or released early due to prison over crowding.

ok just wow, anti-slavery, pro women's rights these were accepted ideas by the general public that they organized to fight against and publicity protested against. people openly protested and signed petitions and got backed by politicians.

what im saying though is your handing your name on a plate to the guards.

    exactly
    SO FUCKING DO SOME THING

the irish legalization party does nothing

write to your td then if you think it helps

print posters busting typical weed myths and put them up

    spread pro pot literature

ireland needs a NORML branch that educates people about weed and makes an effort to decriminalize at least.

this forum is filled with guards

ow and let me ask you all 1 last question

where was all your support and help when that poor girls door got kicked in, boy friend arrested and she was asking for help.

    http://boards.cannabis.com/ireland/1...ease-help.html

not 1 message of help or support

    do something

In an ideal world we would all be hammering down the doors of the dail demanding our right to smoke our herb in peace without the threat of prosecution. Unfortunately this is not the case in modern day eire...

I have to agree with aquagirl on this one. We must all be careful with our personal info when discussing weed etc...

Personally speaking I would love to see Ireland legalising weed but I can't honestly see it happening in my lifetime. Therefore, I would'nt be too eager to provide the guards with an easy collar if we are to believe that they monitor these forums.

IF THIS IS BEING READ BY THE GUARDS, I WOULD KINDLY ASK THEM TO DRAG YOUR ARSES TO TEMPLE BAR IN DUBLIN AND ROUND UP THE DRUG DEALERS OPENLY SELLING HEROIN, COCAINE & VARIOUS PRESCIPTION MEDICATIONS ON OUR CITY STREETS AND LEAVE US PEACEFUL TOKERS WHOM ARE HURTING NOBODY ALONE! :hippy:

I think you should take your head out of the sand and Do Something yourself..!!
FYI Legalise Cannabis Ireland (LCI) have been the ones behind the annual marches held
in May every year. And last may for the first time there was a simultaneous march held in Cork last May.

Where were you when the marches needed to be organised, banners made, posters put up ??
Like the rest of the people in this country that expects everyone else to do the hard work
while you were most likely sitting at home on your ass doing nothing..!!

Signing the petition is the very least you could do, and if you want to get more involved then why
not become a member of LCI and help us get this years marches bigger and better than last years ones..??

Pay a visit to the Legalise Cannabis Ireland website and get in touch with one of us.
We need all the help we can get, and people NEED to realise this..
It's all to easy to sit back and judge what other people are or are not doing, so do something about it..

Hope to see people making that little more effort that's needed, as there's not just the
yearly marches, but fundraisers, stalls for Informing the public that we exist and don't just pop
out of the woodwork once a year to organise a march, and much more besides..

I don't use this site anymore, but i will check back to read your reply..

    Peace out..

yes i really should do some thing, but marching in reality is as useful as praying, it makes you feel good but whats have you achieved? i honestly couldnt take part in the march's last year due to work, i did see a little bit of it and was impressed by the numbers, however seeing kids taking part is maybe not the best message you want to bring out.

also what other events do you guys organize? what have you achieved in the last years? do you offer support advice to arrested smokers and growers? what steps have you taken with real law makers ?

also their are 4/5 cannabis sites with a strong irish community that have no LCI presence.

as for my self in a couple of months i would be more than happy to work with you and re write the lci manifesto, the fact that other eu countries are changing shows that the recession is the perfect time to actually grab every ones attention with the lure of potential .

stuck my name down got one or two to put theres down as well and have said it around. This aint gonna help 217 names down on it now at this rate ya might get a couple of thousand by end of year and for what not many people in this country willing to stand up and stand together as one.a petition here and a couple of websites people have to unite and fight together if anything is to be done and i can never see this happening
