My 1st HP grow

Hey guys,

This is my 2nd indoor grow and first using a highpreasure sodium and was just looking for some input on how everyone thinks i'm doing and how much bud i should anticapte to yield outta these girls.. Im using a 400w hp foxfarm soil all Gen Hyp nuets, and Bushmaster Purplemaxx in a DR 60 grow tent with 3 girls in it. I am going to post a few pics right now will add more tomarrow or next day. Any input or suggestions will be appreciated Thanks guys!!

Your babies look good and i hope you yield a ton. I was in the market for a 400w hps system and was wondering how much you loved yours? Also if the electricity bill went through the roof after you installed? I currently use cfl's and am still on the fence about upgrading,

Thanx man i hope i do too hahah.. But yea i was a little hesetent at first also. I was previously using t5 fluros but wasnt getting the results i was looking for so i went to the hp's.. I didnt really notice to big of a change in electric but i also have a real lot of other stuff drawing big current in my house so i cant really be a good judge on that aspect.. But as far as everything else (besides the heat issue they make) i love them and is deff worth the switch..

~ .5 grams/ watt is about the worst you should do.. if it is less than this you are fucking
something up bad! lol dont look like you are so i think you should be fine..

Wow I will deffinitly be following this thread, (hopefully you can update when possible) I am also using CFLs and would like to know how far you keep the light away from your babies.
Also have you been noticing any streching due to having the light farther than you would with flurecents?
Have you noticed more rapid growth using hid then you did before?

Sorry for all the question but I have been thinking about running a similar setup, BTW your babies look great, hope it turns out the way you planned.

Damn if i get a half G per watt that would be awesome lol!! I got my light about 12 inches from the highest bud.. And i actualy noticed a lot more stretching and "lanky" look with my fluros and much much more bushier look with the hp.. Also they grew twice as fast and so much thicker with the new setup.. I love it lol.. I hope they do too :thumbsup: lol.. Here are some more recent pics i took yesterday.. Thanks again guys!!

I almost forgot another question i had lol! Is anyone familiar with the Purplemaxx snowstorm stuff that i'm using?? I just got it about a month ago and started using it bout a week later and deff started to see a noticable difference in crystal amount and density.. And now my leafs and the actual nugs are starting to turn purple.. Was just wandering if anyone had a good experience with this stuff bc so far i'm loving it lol..

I've read that if your bud has purple in its genetics, then this is the shit you want, but it definately won't work if it's not in the genetics. What kind of strain is the plant thats turning purple?? hope this helps!

I"m not to sure exactly what strain they are one of my friends gave me 6 seeds he said they were sour D but who knows.. My last grow i used the same seeds and non of them turned purple, same with these untill i started using the snowstorm stuff.. My last crop came out awesome! just not enough quanity but very quality..
