Cut fan leaves?
hey all, I'm one week into flowering and am down to three females. I want these three to bud as thick as possible... the only problem is im using cfls. I've noticed the larger fan leaves are drastically reducing light penetration into the middle of the plant, which is really bushy and full of 'bud producing nodes' (Dont know the correct term).
So heres my question: would it be a good idea to cut the bigger fan leaves out now that I am done vegging? I feel like it would increase yield, assuming the larger fan leaves aren't important for bud production. What do you think?
Thanks! :jointsmile:Faddenator Reviewed by Faddenator on . Cut fan leaves? hey all, I'm one week into flowering and am down to three females. Cut fan leaves?
Don't cut them! They ARE important for producing buds. Tie or tuck them if you think it will help.

Cut fan leaves?
I used cfls also and yes they penerate like an old man does. I removed the lower leaves at the bottom of the plant, kind of like lollipoping. I did this knowing that the bud at the bottom wouldnt grow because the cfls so bad. I just cut into leaves to make light go through to the buds. Its fine to cut parts of a leaf of as long as you do it with a sharp pare of scissors.
