Taking a GC/MS drug test, please help!

Drinking the daily recommended amount of water (64 fl. oz. a day) in conjunction with a healthy diet and exercise will speed up your metabolism - your body will burn through calories, nutrients, and THC faster.

However, there is absolutely nothing you can do to noticeably change your metabolism rate in, say, a week. These things take time. I don't have the medical background of FBR, but from my limited experience a good rule of thumb is if you eat healthy and exercise you will begin to notice results (muscles) in six weeks. I would imagine your metabolism rate mirrors your physical development.

Any corrections, insights, or additions to my post would be greatly appreciated.

THC does not "burn" in the body. THC is stored in the fat cells. When fat cells burn, the THC is metabolized into THCA and released back into the bloodstream. From there, the kidneys filter the THCA from the bloodstream and deposits them into the bladder. A sizeable portion of THCA is excreted via the feces, but since feces is not used as a specimen for drug tests, urine is what you should be concerned with.

Also, drinking water days or weeks before the U/A is of no help. It may cause frequent urination, but the rate in which the kidneys filter the THCA from the bloodstream remains unaffected.

Drinking water has no effect on how slowly or quickly THC is excreted from the body. It simply dilutes the detectable quantity in ones urine while one is drinking the water. Once it's all peed out, you're back to square one. As for speeding up metabolism, exercise trumps any and all possible boost water drinking offers.

There are many forms of metabolism going on in your body right now, but the one everyone is talking about it the metabolism of fat. This is actually something that the liver does when it converts stored fat to energy. The liver has other functions, but this is one of its main jobs.

Unfortunately, another of the liverâ??s duties is to pick up the slack for the kidneys, which need plenty of water to work properly. If the kidneys are water-deprived, the liver has to do their work along with its own, lowering its total productivity. It then canâ??t metabolize fat as quickly or efficiently as it could when the kidneys were pulling their own weight. If you allow this to happen, not only are you being unfair to your liver, but youâ??re also setting yourself up to store fat.
When you drink all the water you need, you will very quickly notice a decrease in your appetite, possibly even on the first day! If you're serious about becoming leaner and healthier, drinking water is an absolute must. If you're doing everything else right and still not seeing results, this might just be what's missing.
    Drinking Water and Weight Loss

I want to be clear: I am NOT suggesting that if you have a drug test in a week you can drink 8 glasses of water a day and expect any significant changes in your metabolism. What I am saying is that over a long period of time - a few months - there are things you can do in addition to daily vigorous exercise that will cause your body to burn fat faster, and thus eliminate THC faster. One of those things, indeed a vitally important thing, is drinking a proper amount of water everyday.

What needs to be realized is that not many people are fortunate to have a few months notice of an upcoming drug test.
