New to Rhode Island and need help

hello all I'm new to rhode Island. My name is David. Moved here from Maryland Were i worked with ASA and MDSafeAccess to help fix Marylands Laws. I moved here for work and i dont have a card yet. In the process of obtaining one. But i need to get some medication since im out. I have bi polar and gasto-intesinal problems and chronic back pain from the Marine Corps. and ptsd and insomnia. I was on 6 different medications that were killing me. Since i have started to medicated with cannibis i have gotten off those pills and my health problems have become not a problem. Need to find some one who can help me out. :jointsmile:

bud noone is gonna hook you up with medicine and risk losing thier card. best you can do for yourself is get back on the pills and complain about how they make you feel and want to swap for weed. as for finding medicine either goto a club and make a friend or goto kennedy plaza and watch the park with the water fountian if you watch long enuff you will see people smoke or rolling something.

Hey Dave, I'm sorry to hear about your situation. It sucks not being able to find the medicine you need. Please do NOT go down to Kennedy Plaza at dark for your medicine. It is not always a friendly place after dark and the medicine you could get down there will likely not even help you much.

You journey towards medical marijuana in RI starts here: RIPAC: Medical Marijuana in Rhode Island . Go to a community meeting listed on their calendar. You might be able to get some info on compassionate doctors in RI from the people there.

Take a look at the RI laws, many of the conditions you listed are not qualifying ailments. RI laws are more limiting then other states. Hopefully that will change soon because their are many things cannabis can help with. Your best bet would be to see a doctor for the GI issues or the chronic back pain. Insomnia and PTSD are not included in the law here, though I've seen what cannabis can do for these problems. Hopefully this will change in the coming years.

thank you for the info i do know all about ripac and all that i need to find a doctor that can recomend me my medicine and since im new i dont know any i need help in finding a doctor. If any one has any recommendation i would greatly apperciate it. Thanks for all of those who are caregivers, doctors,and activits.
