use whatever puts out the most lumens. never tried the flood lights myself, but it would be worth a shot.

When your looking for which color of bulb. You should look for it's kelvin rating, not what color it says you'll see(like cool white, day light...). For growing you want 6500K(best), 5500K(better), 5000K(acceptable). For flower you want 2700K.
cool white= 6500K (or so)
daylight= 2700K (or so)

sometimes the kelvins aren't printed on the packaging or the bulbs. the description of the light is a reference to the color spectrum.
