Good, simple organic nutrient regime in soil for beginner?!
Calmag and "bulking agents" are a custom blend of molasses, with stuff like ferrous sulphate. (read the ingredients...either sugar cane or sugar beet origins, I believe) I use unsulphered molasses. It is not a complete set of micros and metals, but It does contain calcium, magnesium and iron, which is helpful in the flowering process. (wow...just like CalMag Plus :thumbsup

Know what you're adding, and why you are adding it...before you add it.
Any and all non-organic nutrients will provide you with salt build-up. (a bunch of the nutrients are salts) Monthly flushing eliminates this problem.
