Looking good! I would add some perlite to the mix when you transplant again. It'll help the roots breath, and probably increase growth rate by a bit

Yeah, I was planning on adding some, but I ran out of time and needed to transplant ASAP. So, it'll be one of those things that I'll do differently next time... It would be nice to speed things up a bit, but it's fun watching the ladies grow.
I do have that one weird plant that was stuck at like 5" and going on its 5th node, but since transplanting it grew an inch, maybe, and stopped growing... I am not sure what is wrong, but any ideas would help.

Everything is looking great. And it is true that with the CFL's it will take longer to grow to maturity and bud, but adding more lumens always helps.
I've got 5x 62W (300w equiv) CFLs putting out 21000 lumens for 4 plants. It's enough for what I have, but I feel like I could still use more.
Also, what kind of soil mixture are you using? I say you said you used some fresh soil, but did you mix anything in it like: Perlite, spaghum moss, etc.?
Keep up the good work, don't be discouraged by the CFLs, think of them as a challenge.

The soil is just top soil, compost, and peat moss. As for lighting I have 8 23w cfls and am hoping to add more when I get it in the budget. They have all grown today and are looking amazing.
Like I stated before, the one plant does look differently. I think the issue is that it may just be a different strain. The nodes are extremely tight and the color is a much lighter shade of green than the others. I am hoping I just accidentally planted a kind bud seed. *knocks on wood*
Any and all input is welcome!

Well, the ladies seem to be thriving and I am happy with their growth so far. I have a few pics from yesterday and here they are.
Let me know what you think.

The plants look great! Just out of curiosity, how high do you have your lights? they should be close - no more than 2-3 inches away from each plant. It looks a little like one of those guys wants more light, but thats about it.

yea. I have a lot of height that I can use so I am stretching them a little bit. I put the lights about 6" above the plants and just let them be for a few days. I will leave the lights at that height until I absolutely have to raise them...
Thanks for the input. It is much appreciated!

Looking good still. Becareful when stretching them out though, you need to take into account that they will stretch some more when flowering.
My 3 sativas are getting almost TOO big for me (this was without any FIM, LST, or topping), they have already entered flowering and still growing! I'm not complaining though, just have to learn to deal with it.

Babies are looking great
although because of CFL's lack of penetration I recomend that you move them closer (2-3inches) CFL's barely reach the lower leaves so it isn't doing much up there.
Also streching dosent increase yield so why not keep the lights lower to make sure the bottom leaves get light.
Just an idea

The lights are about 2-3" now. I wasn't too worried about the lower branches getting light. I have a few bulbs on the sides, but usually raise them for pics and such.
Thanks for the input,
