How official or standardized are strain names?

COzigzag Reviewed by COzigzag on 01-19-2010. How official or standardized are strain names? At the club I belong to, they have Misty, Sour Diesel, Romulan, and Blue Dream. If I went to a different club, could I expect that their Misty and their Sour Diesel would be similar to the Misty and Sour Diesel I was used to? Would they normally be just as strong? I've noticed some types are better values than others. At $35 an 1/8 and $120 a 1/2, the Misty I know is a fantastic value considering how high it gets you. It's very "fluffy," though; by this I mean that 1/2 ounce is a huge bag. Rating: 5
