Advice for a new grower?
I have read several places that if you harvest a little premature then you get a more heady high (similar to sativa) but if you let it go til the trichromes turn amber you get a more body type stone.
I prefer sativas becuase I don't like super stony feeling. The problem is I have an room full of Purple Kush and U2 Kush because someone gave me the clones. They are growing awesome, but I don't like the crazy kush couch lock.

It is a good question. My suggestion is to harvest one just as the trichomes turn cloudy. I do that when I want better analgesic effect on one of my genotypes. It does decrease the couch lock, which I abhor.
Look for something like Strawberry Cough. Great energetic med. I am very pleased with the effects of the SC.

Yes, it will more of an active high if you harvest RIGHT when they go cloudy, but it's within the limitations of the strain. So you might still end up with a stony high.

Lol. Good one! You really can play with it a bit but in the end analysis you're sort of pigenholed with the genetics. I've always been a sativa lover and I don't think that's going to change.

Thanks for the tips. I too am a sativa lover and I have a jar full of strawberry cough. I share your sentiments with that strain, I also like the green crack. The problem is that here in the emerald triangle everyone is concerned with yield and nobody cares about poor little sativas. I can get clones of purple kush and blue dream almost as easy as buying a loaf of bread, so that's what I did. Next grow I am either going to look harder for clones or order some seeds.
Thx
