Yup, I tried that too a few times, but the rates were really low, I think it is in part due to these seeds being very old.

For the hard to germinate seeds what I had some success in is taking some sand paper and gently sanding the outer shell a little bit. It's hard to get right, but seeds will germinate extremely quick afterwards.

I planted some seeds around January in a set up discribed around here for 100% germination. So far I have a pretty good sprout (planted on Jan 1st, and one other rising which was planted about 2 days ago). I checked some rapid rooter plugs and a few more seeds are emerging, the other ones seem dead. In any case, the sprout has been around the same size now, for about a week, is something wrong?
