Lemon Skunk Flowering! Newbie needs help!

I am in my second week of flowering. not sure what to expect but the flowers seem to have appeared very quickly, but may have slowed in growth the last two days.
I use Canna Aqua and follow "dosages" as close as i can.
I keep my PH between 5.5-5.9...usually 5.7
Use 5 gallon bucket for plant, connected to another 5 gallon I use for reservoir. have a small pump set on a 15 min, every 2 hour feeding schedule. The plant bucket drains into reservoir about 2 inches above liquid line so I believe the "splashing" of the falling water creates the necessary "air circulation" needed within the solution. Not sure if I'm correct on this and hope for some feedback. I also wonder if i still need to have a weekly "flushing" of solution.
i know that mobile nutrients begin to wander where needed as flowering progresses. I understand that yellowing is normal and expected. It is just that I'm new at this, and I am curious if what I'm seeing in my plant is normal as I have no reference point.

:smokin: hows the temp. and humidity in the grow room? it looks to me like they might of got a little stressed out from high temps. and humidity. any ways just my 2 cents.

good eye. there were some heat issues in the first week as I didn't have my "dark room" yet and so flowering was induced in a closet and I'm sure the light was a little close.

temp is currently 74. I've seen it climb to 80 but that's rare.

humidity has never been high from flower stage. if anything i could use a little in my room. i'm sure it's between 25 and 40%.

600W HPS Lumatek digital ballast, 23 inches above highest flower.

i would try 2 set up an extra fan or two in the grow room to help with the heat and ventilation. plus make sure they dont grow 2 close to the lights. im sure you dont want that problem, like a moth flying n2 the flame :thumbsup:

23" is too far from that light in my opinion. Is it an air cooled hood? I believe you can get to within a foot of that light and not see burning if you have it vented. 80 degrees should be fine and it's hard to get too arid. Chances are , by the looks of it, it is a strain that would be better suited to outdoor growing. Get an airstone in that water pronto! A flush couldn't hurt either. Also be careful when flushing to let your flush solution and replacement solution get up to room temp so as not to shock the roots.

jakester, thank you very much. that was all very good answers to questions I have. As I'm new and I don't have a large quantity at this point i haven't vented the hood yet, as my temp hasn't gotten over 80 so i didn't see prob. but I'll get that vented cuz i'm gonna have to do it eventually.

Seems to be only a little over watering, that's all, and if your light is further than you can keep it, you will get leaf death higher on the plant from lack of light, not too big a problem. Just keep your ppm under 1400 if you feel nervous about your plant health. Watch the chlorine in your tap water, can cause problems, depending on where you live.
If it looks like leaf drooping and yellowing is getting worse, go to distilled water and then add some trace minerals found in cal/mag and such, to cover loss from switching water. You can ease up on the cal/mag in active hydro systems. But what ever you do, don't panic and make drastic changes. Wrap your res in insulation too if you haven't, res temp can cause some trouble too. And take those leaves off if they are less then 50% healthy. But most of all, spend time with all your plants all their lives and read grow journals on your strain and look at as many pictures as you can brother. You will learn more than you can imagine about every strain you grow.

It's a soil vs coco experiment.
Coco appears to be winning!

The big girl was very thirsty as you can see.
No worry she got watered, but I had to get a snap and get her back indoors before artificial night-fall so she hadn't had time to perk up.

And aside from some heat n watering stress, your lady looks OK.

You can save yourself some future grief during budding by throwing an airstone in the res.
It's cheap insurance and WILL just about double your leaf mass and root growth in veg.
The water is aerated just before it comes in contact with the roots and the roots breathe well.:thumbsup:


And I never molest the fan leaves until havest.
Their natural job is to go from light converters to mobile-nute stashes.
They are not through "giving back" until they fall off naturally.
Just before they fall, they form an abcission layer, that seals the juncture with the stalk, seals in sap and seals out pathogens.

So, if a very gentle tug does not cause the leaf to fall into your hand, best leave it be, it's not done.
