How to flush, when in middle of flowing.
My plant died all the sudden, halfway thru the flowering cycle. Why? Ive been reading alot of posts and it seems one needs to flush the plants with water to get rid of the salts produced by nutrient uptake. But cant you kill them with too much water. Keep in mind this is indoor hps setup with another live one in the same room. The Tall skinny one died and the fattening baby lives on. Why the big one, Why?

how the hell does a plant just die "all of a sudden"? is it completely dead? you couldnt see it getting sicker and sicker? aside from chopping one down, it's damn hard to kill a plant. is it dead for real?

if you let us know more about your setup... what kind of hydro system? did you have bubble bars to get O2 in your water? ph levels? nutes? then someone can probably find what could have been wrong with your system. once a plant starts to get thick and hardy they can withstand more than a tall and skinny spindly plant.

How to flush, when in middle of flowing.
I used miracle gro soil with 15-30-15 during veg. Shultz superbloom 10-54-10 during flower. HPS 150W modified same from overgrow.com. Also added a bathroom exaustfan on top of light and ballast to immediatly remove heat with a 3" tube. Also had a 48" floresent(Duh). 80 degrees. Timer used(18/6-over a week to 12/12) Always checked soil for dryness at 2" deep then watered. Early on in veg i did a very weak foliar feeding. The buds were so hairyand white then. Funny thing was when it died all the hairs turned red. Now its dead im talking hard crispy dead as ded ded. Sadness fills me. This is two grows at the same exact time. Is it the small space or what. Room is 4'X3'X4' My cousins plant did the same. But his was a beast and he used a Five gallon bucked, he watered it excessivly and its alive and might even reveg. Please give tips.

Well, for one, miracle grow 15-30-15 is a flowering fert, not a veg nute, you needed more nitrogen, such as a 20-20-20. Im confused, are you saying that you had hairy white buds while still in the veg state? what strain is this your growing? and how hot does it get in that lillte space? and I still dont know how a plant just "dies" "all of the sudden".

and miracle grow's potting soil is well known to NOT be a good choice for cannabis...it comes with time release ferts built into it and you added more, and maybe followed the directions and did not dilute...thus thoroughly fertilyzing your soil to the point it poisoned your plant. sound about right?
next time, if i were you i'd get the best standard potting soil you can (read all the info on the bag...many times they list ph level too...whitney farms is good and fairly common but the bluish grey bag is not so good, look for the mostly tan bag w/farm pics on it ) along with a cactus soil mix to blend it at 3:1 (3 parts potting soil to 1 part cactus) and toss in plenty of vermiculite or perlite...you will have good draining soil which is fresh and should be good for seedlings until the 3rd week or so before needing ferts...then follow directions and cut in half. you can always add more later if needed but ya can't take it away very easily. never soak your plants, especially at seedling stage...another common prob with new growers.
it's time to try again!
good luck

Sativus: No, in the beginning of bloom all white, the plant got to 1month flower and drooped bad, so i watered it with regular water, nothing. So i waited three days and it looked worse and all the premature bud with white hairs turned into all red hairs.
DEL:Thank you so much thats all i needed you Rock. Love this website!Nobody makes me bleed my own Blood!

oic now. in the town where i live dialtone, i get 80lb bags of clean plain potting soil and mix my own dirt(perlite, etc). i never buy pre-ferted soil. try again and be careful with the nutes. better luck next time, i see a monster plant with a giant cola in your future, hehe.
