Stealth vape advice
Hi,
I appreciate all the posts I've read - very helpful for newbie - thanks!
As a parent, I define stealth criteria as:
Smoke - I think that nearly all vapes will not put out significant smoke, true?
Noise
Time spent alone in room (a few minutes heatup/cool down is OK)
Size/handling to stow away. I guess fragility is a factor too.
I'll be a whip user I think, but need a balloon for my wife who is seriously inhalation impaired.
Candidates:
Extreme-Q
Herbal-aire
Obviously not much on the Q but I've read everything I can find - new fan sounds promising - it seems like a reasonably safe choice even new.
Herbal aire is of course well tested and cheaper. How about noise/size?
Thanks much!CompGeek Reviewed by CompGeek on . Stealth vape advice Hi, I appreciate all the posts I've read - very helpful for newbie - thanks! Sounds like you know what your looking for.
For stealth though you can't beat the Magic Flight Launch Box, battery operated hot enough in less than 5 seconds. Little or no vapor, thats entirely up to the user. Best of all, no odor.

Interesting - that's one I haven't seen and it indeed looks very discrete. Thanks.

You are correct. No vaporizer will put out smoke or the typical pot smell unless the temperature gets high enough to light the herb. That shouldn't be a problem except accidentally, once in a while. And even then, the amount of smoke will be very small, far less than what a joint puts out. Vapor does have a smell, but it's very light and disipates quickly. Someone sitting next to you while you vaporized would smell it, but someone entering the room 15 seconds after you exhaled probably wouldn't.
I can't comment on any of those vaporizers you mention because I haven't used them. However, while deciding, don't forget to consider how much you use. A vaporizer that might be just the trick when you a couple of stealth hits may turn into a royal pain to use throughout the day, every day, or it may just not stand up to heavy use.
Regarding efficiency, I tend to think they're all just as efficient. After all, they all get hot enough to go from the vaporizing range to the combustion range. There's a vaporizer out there that claims it takes the vaporized remains from well-known vaporizers like Volcano, etc., and manages to squeeze another couple of bags from them. I really doubt it.

With the Purple Days, you can get 4 satisfying, solid hits from 0.025g. Try to see if you can get that with any other kind of vape

Yea, you're right... I haven't tried enough to know. Is that really a 1/40 of a gram? I wish the dispensaries around here had different vaporizers to try, but they all just have Volcanoes.
But I do have a question about efficiency. If you use the same herb in two different vaporizers, and both reduce the green herb to a nice mahogany brown, then didn't both vaporizers extract the same amount of essence? If not, where did the essence from the less efficient vaporizer go?

Yes.

Secondly, the bowl size is the smallest bowl of any other vape on the market (other than the Myrtlezap). It will only hold 0.025g and is designed to work with that small amount. Try loading that small amount in a bag or whip based vape. Typically, it's not enough to even cover the screen and if it doesn't cover the screen, it's hard to get an even well vape from your bud.Current Vapes: Purple Days

Thanks that is very helpful. I actually ended up throwing out the bag requirement based on feedback that any vape will probably fix my wife's inhalation impairement and bought a Da Buddah which looks compact, is reportedly easy to use, inexpensive and gets consistent rave reviews. I'll post my own experience when it arrives.

Oh-oh. While the Buddha is a great vape, it does require lung effort to inhale the vapor. There are fan assisted vapes that actually blow the vape into your lungs without any effort on the users part, which may be a better choice for her. Second to that would be a bag vape being that it takes less lung effort to pull from a bag than from a whip based vape that doesn't have a fan assist.

Totally understood; she is just price sensitive right now so I took a gamble that she will be able to draw reasoning that it has to be much easier for her than pipe/bong. I did really want the Extreme but figure owning a Buddah is not high risk. I'll let you know if it works out for her or not.
