Presuming they cant fly..

I would rub vaseline around the bottom of your pots if they crawl up from the bottom or just at the bottom of your plants stem to stop them climbing your plant. If they can fly, i wouldnt know what to do, maybe organic pesticide !!

I hate these bugs.. they're the little black ones that have little red eyes and little red lines on their back/wings. We had them at my house when I was a kid... they're pretty harmless but they can be a nuisance when you have a lot of them... they group together where it's warm and form a "sea" of box elder bugs.
