Grower wants to change the time of the 12 hour rotation - help please!?

Hey there!

I want to change the times of the 12 hour rotation from 12a -12p to 7a-7p.
Would it be better to give the plants extra light or more dark time while we wait out the 5 hour difference? Can it be done in one day without risking the plants turning into hermaphs? I would be totally grateful to anyone who has helpful information regarding this topic, and thanks in advance for reading my post! :rasta:

I did it once by just changing the timer one hour each day till I got it to the time I wanted.

All dark will not harm the plants, but once ya change, do not let them have more light than the constant 12/12....ya should run them at 5pm on and 5 am off.....or about those times....
