Cleaning Glass Pipe Question

I am a newbie here but have a question:

I am cleaning all of my glass pipes using the trusty baggie, rubbing alochol and salt method. One of my two pipes looks brand spankin new again. However, my newer one has a white discoloration on the inside. Does anyone know what causes this or how to get it out? I soaked this particular pipe over night and even heated up the alochol a little in the microwave but NOTHING is getting this white stuff out. Any suggestions?

put ur ziplocs away and stop wasting your money on isopropyl alc. just blast it with aerosol brake cleaner until its crystal clear then wash with liquid soap and hot water and it will rinse to a beautiful shine in seconds.

could it be the whiteness is in the glass maby pressure crack or somthing from the blower ? i know i had a pipe with the same problem nd it turnd out to be inside of the glass lol (ima havve to try that brake cleaner method) any 1 have advice on how to clean a ash catcher? (not the kid where the bowl nd ash catcher r 1 but where the bowl is removable from the ash catcher) :jointsmile:

Most likely this is a cloudy mineral build-up from the salt. Make sure to rinse and dry it thoroughly when you clean it.

brake cleaner haha, I have actually done that, as a auto tech I have done itlol, ISO and Epsom salt is still the best way. the white stuff is usually salt in there, another wash with some clean iso usually does the trick with me, I know if you leave salt build up on the glass and continue to smoke it it is harder to get out, usually .
