Second wind
I don't think you are ready yet to flush. A finished plant will have thousands of trichomes on each flower. You can only tell when it's time to harvest with a 30x microscope and observation of the trichomes. Do not go by the pistils they are past their useful point and are dieing off. Their purpose is to collect pollen and enable the female plant to grow seeds and carry on the circle of life.
Only the trichomes will tell you when is the right time to harvest. As for flushing in dirt you use a commercial flushing product and it takes about 4-5 dayâ??s. Water takes 2 weeks minimum and will not get everything out. The improved taste comes when you cure the buds properly. The chlorophyll breaks down and the trichomes harden, then you are ready to smoke it. It takes about 30 dayâ??s or more of curing for that to happen after they are dried. You store them in glass jars in a dark cool place and wait. They need to be opened everyday for the first week or 2 for about 20 minutes. By the end of the second week you only need to exchange the air once a week or so. Watch for water on the inside of the glass jar you donâ??t want mold growing. If you see water just open the jar and let it air out for 20 minutes then close it up again and keep an eye on that jar.Zandor Reviewed by Zandor on . Second wind 2 months in 12/12 Buds are turning color and looking good. 20% amber, 80 % blonde. Expected to finish in couple weeks and noticed new upward growth of an inch or two in the past two days. Buds were plumping and are now growing up again as well as plumping. No changes in conditions. Same ferts, lights, cycle etc. What's up? Is this normal? Do I let her go and grow until she has finished her second win? Or do I cut, cure and enjoy. Rating: 5
