Please Help Please Please Please!!!

I had a great business in downtown LA and that damn Cooley shut me down threatening me with jail if I didn't. He said it's part of the new law limiting dispensaries to 70 from 600 or so. So now I'm looking all over the state to find a city or county that will allow me to open but there's so many moratoriums and bans I can't find something. Is there a list or something that will tell me what the situation is legally city by city (or county by county).

two reasons i see for the shutdown and moratoriums...

1. 90%+ of the dispensaries are open for one single reason. because they sold weed BEFORE 215, and they found a quick easy way to make way more money, charge way more than street prices, and to do it legally. alot of counties are catching onto this fact.

2. everyone knows that AB390 will most likely pass. our state is so far in the red budgetwise they are going to do anything they can to get funds rolling in. the states already thinking of ways to spend the money. AB390 passed the public safety committee today without a hitch, and the experts are now saying that was the main test, and that it will pass the health committee and assembly vote without any issues. im thinking that these places that have placed a moratorium are looking to the future. when the bill passess thru, there wont be any need for 215 dispensaries anymore, as youll be able to grow and use it yourself, and those who cant grow will be able to walk right into places that sell tobacco and alcohol and buy it alot cheaper......

if it were me, id probably not waste my time until i found out of AB390 passess all the way thru

shutting down dispensaries will only increase the demand in the black market...clones will be no different....it will be homeboy network and to think the growers in Humboldt are worried!

I agree...shutting down dispensaries is going to only hurt us. And what about the people who are using MJ for medical purposes. There will still need to be an outlet for us! I can't imagine it being sold so casually in a liquor store for quite some time. The govt. will want to regulate it better. Dispensaries are great for a few reasons. They are run by people that know the product and they offer a wide variety of options. There are alot of people who don't smoke MJ....there are edibles, drinks, pills, rubs. There will still be places that offer all of this....in my opinion! :jointsmile:

I was talking w/ Steph Sherer, (founder and executive director of ASA) the other day and she thinks that if marijuana becomes legal for recreational use, that it will be kept separate from medical Marijuana as it should. I think that the marijuana for recreational use will be taxed heavily which will make it more expensive than marijuana from medical dispensaries.

I think the way it will go is they will slowly dwindle down in the number of medical dispensaries as they start with the recreational ones and tobacco/pipe shops and liquor stores that would carry it. That is IF it becomes legalized this year, otherwise I really have no idea what they think they're doing with this...

well it may be something like a liquor license...i know that it costs around $100,000 to have one at lleast it did for a bar in the restaurant at the golf course...then "the store will have rules and regs to sell and an agency that polices such outlets like the ABC...jmo so that they can tax and have some sort of regulated sales...because most folks will grow outdoors not wanting to invest in lights and evrything it takes to start a good indoor operation and if there is some places that will sell MJ most will buy it than put the energy into a proper growing operation as you see so often within our forum community:bong: just my :twocents:

Move to the Bay...open a delivery service. Then a shop. Martinez should be good...so will Vallejo...I still can't believe these local municipalities are keeping patients from getting meds in their localities. Where are the protests to stop this?
