just curious
I have the same lower back issues. Spasms are always there. I have found a few strains that did have numbing properties that were wonderful (except the tingly lips).
However mostly it reduces the spasms and relaxes me enough to allow them to loosen. Then a little time in a roasting bath and a strong indica to keep me down while I recover(not easy to keep me in one spot very long). Next day I can work again.
I like to remind people that Tylenol and Ibuprofen are both anti inflammatories not pain killers. They reduce swelling thus reducing some pain. So, this (in most cases) doesn't do so much for the pain directly. It reduces the spasms that cause the pain in the first place. Those spasms cause pinched nerves in my back as well. So stopping the throb is vital.
Also very useful in calming me if I get "worked up". Many people use liquor for that. However my family doesn't take well to the hooch.
As for things it doesn't help with? I don't think it has any long term positive effects on depression. It's known to increase dopamine levels on the short term. However your body can only create so much of this. Once you overuse to keep your mood up, you could see your levels drop when you run out and that gland runs dry(so to speak).Vancefish Reviewed by Vancefish on . just curious personally i use cannabis to deal with a stomach issue. it seems to help a multitude of people with a multitude of things. something that's always confused me is how some people use it for pain. i recently passed a kidney stone and found out that smoking didn't help with that in the least. it also helps less and less with my depression every day. maybe i'm just high and bored but i was wondering what some of you guys use cannabis for and if you have any stories about trying it for Rating: 5A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned - this is the sum of good government.
