you know, the main reason they are shutting these dispensaries down is profit margin . they are supposed to be non-profit if im not mistaken. ok, lets look at it like this.....

generally, right now, street price for an 1/8th runs around $20-30 bucks, depending on how good it is. lets take the $30 bucks as our figure

8x30=240 an ounce ( if you pay full price, most sellers give a discount on quantity)

16x240=$3840 a pound (which is real high, cause generally pounds go for about half that right now)

now lets look at these "dispensaries"

$$40 to $60 bucks AN 1/8TH for decent stuff. we will use the high end of $60, just like we used the high end for street prices

8x$60=$480 an OUNCE
16x$480=$7680

thats DOUBLE high end street prices......

NOW, these people are NOT stupid. they have consulted with experts, ect and know it does NOT cost $7680 to grow a pound of weed, even running big lights 24/7,buying top end gear and ferts,ect.....

where does the extra money go?...in the sellers POCKET....now arent these dispensaries supposed to be non-profit?...wheres the extra $3840 LB going? now, say you have a shop, and you dispense a pound+ a week ( which you know alot of the places out there are dropping WAY WAY WAY more than that)...even at just a LB a week, that would be around $15,360 A MONTH over and ABOVE street price..........thats $184,320 a year, just selling a pound a week at dispense prices IN PROFIT over the cost of decent stuff out and about..say you sell 2lbs a week, thats $368,640 a year IN PROFIT above street prices for the same stuff.......

these people arent stupid. they see it as legal drug dealing, and its not only gonna get every shop shut down in CA eventually, but it wouldnt suprise me if it continues if they put something up to stop MMJ all together.
ShastaCoMan Reviewed by ShastaCoMan on . Don't let the Sacramento City Council shut down dispensaries!!! The City of Sacramento wants to limit the number or shut down medical marijuana dispensaries!! The patients in Sacramento need to unite and let the city council know that we will not stand for this. On January 19th @ 3PM at City Hall in the Council Chamber, the Law and Legislative Committee is set to meet. We are not on the agenda, but we are going to show up in force to let them know that we will not let them shut down dispensaries. We need patients to show up at the meeting and sign up to Rating: 5
