Don't let the Sacramento City Council shut down dispensaries!!!

The City of Sacramento wants to limit the number or shut down medical marijuana dispensaries!! The patients in Sacramento need to unite and let the city council know that we will not stand for this. On January 19th @ 3PM at City Hall in the Council Chamber, the Law and Legislative Committee is set to meet. We are not on the agenda, but we are going to show up in force to let them know that we will not let them shut down dispensaries. We need patients to show up at the meeting and sign up to talk to the committee. You will be given 1 minute to talk with them and let them know how you feel. We would love to have a few hundread patients there to show the committee that we mean business. We have been nice and polite for too long and they are now turning on us. It is time for us to fight back. We can keep them at this meeting that they do not want to be at for hours while we tell them we do not want them to limit our choices on where we can get our medicine. A bunch of the dispensaries have sign up sheets so that you can be reminded of the meeting. All SSCC members that sign up and talk at the meeting will receive a free gift. The meeting is on January 19th at 3PM at City Hall, 915 I St. in the City council chambers. Get there early and fill out the form so that you can tell the Council how you feel.

yes they are. not just in sac, but everywere. everyones jumping on the bandwagon because they forsee AB390 passing thru, and then there wont be a need for them. they can take over the business......

by the way, AB390 passed thru PSC today, and the bills author is seeking special permission to have it heard thru the PHC ebfore fridays deadline. i bet he will get it.

there gonna wanna fast track the issue and try to get some of that revenue going asap

I was at the Law and Legislative meeing of the Sacramento City council in December when 3 of the 4 committee members said they wanted to limit the number of clubs. They also said that if they were to impose a 1000 ft buffer zone for the dispensaries, only 2 or 3 would remain open. We need patients to go to the next Law and Leg meeting on January 19th to let them know that we do not want them to shut down any of the dispensaries that were operating legally before the moritorium. The meeting is next Tuesday the 19th, at 3PM at City Hall in the City Council Chambers. The address is 915 I st in Sacramento Please arrive before 3 pm so that you can sign up to speak at the meeting. All of the Sacramento dispensaries need your support!!!

My Girlfriend is a patient and will be showing up for support of SSCC, She needs to stop by this week and will get more info. This 1,000 ft buffer zone, is that in reference to being near schools, or just zoning their making up strictly for the dispensaries?

you know, the main reason they are shutting these dispensaries down is profit margin . they are supposed to be non-profit if im not mistaken. ok, lets look at it like this.....

generally, right now, street price for an 1/8th runs around $20-30 bucks, depending on how good it is. lets take the $30 bucks as our figure

8x30=240 an ounce ( if you pay full price, most sellers give a discount on quantity)

16x240=$3840 a pound (which is real high, cause generally pounds go for about half that right now)

now lets look at these "dispensaries"

$$40 to $60 bucks AN 1/8TH for decent stuff. we will use the high end of $60, just like we used the high end for street prices

    8x$60=$480 an OUNCE
    16x$480=$7680

thats DOUBLE high end street prices......

NOW, these people are NOT stupid. they have consulted with experts, ect and know it does NOT cost $7680 to grow a pound of weed, even running big lights 24/7,buying top end gear and ferts,ect.....

where does the extra money go?...in the sellers POCKET....now arent these dispensaries supposed to be non-profit?...wheres the extra $3840 LB going? now, say you have a shop, and you dispense a pound+ a week ( which you know alot of the places out there are dropping WAY WAY WAY more than that)...even at just a LB a week, that would be around $15,360 A MONTH over and ABOVE street price..........thats $184,320 a year, just selling a pound a week at dispense prices IN PROFIT over the cost of decent stuff out and about..say you sell 2lbs a week, thats $368,640 a year IN PROFIT above street prices for the same stuff.......

these people arent stupid. they see it as legal drug dealing, and its not only gonna get every shop shut down in CA eventually, but it wouldnt suprise me if it continues if they put something up to stop MMJ all together.

    thats the understanding i got.

it kinda becomes clear what the urgency is once you do the math and see how much profits at stake eh?
