I am a former tobacco smoker and I experience similar triggers when people light up around me. The difference is I don't whinge and don't expect other people to change their behaviour to make things easier for me. My advice is accept the fact that other people smoke and stop complaining, you will soon learn how to deal with your triggers in a more positive manner.

If it is really so hard for you to deal with, move.

I live in a rental house next to another rental house. Both landlords live off site. The neighbour next door smokes marijuana and claims he has medical permission. He used to smoke indoors, but his upstairs neighbour (friends of mine with two small children) asked him to stop as they share a heating system and the whole house smells when he smokes. So he started smoking outside. Now the Rating: 5
